Free—Crochet Amigurumi Flying Pig Pattern
This impish flying pig is so adorable that you might not want to wait until Christmas to see it. Although I originally created it to be a stocking stuffer, its size make it easy to adapt into an ornament. The flying pig is 2″ wide by 2 1/2″ tall. Just add a string and it’s ready to fly into the holiday festivities.

Assemble
- Nostrils—use gray embroidery floss (all strands) to create them on the snout. The first round of the snout is made of 5 sc. Take the dark gray embroidery floss and sew around the post of a stitch. Skip one st and repeat again. Tie into a knot and trim.
- Snout—attach to face. Place the bottom of the head on your work surface. When you position the snout on the face, the bottom edge of the snout should rest on the work surface. Pin or hold into place. Sew to attach. Before you are finished sewing, lightly stuff the snout. Weave in yarn end and trim.
- Eyes—use black embroidery floss (all strands) to create eyes. The placement of the eyes is the row above where the snout is attached to the face and with five stitches between them. I repeated the thread path for the eyes three times.
- Ears—align the top edge of the ear to that of the eye. Sew into place, weave in yarn ends, and trim.
- Head—attach to body. Sew into place, weave in yarn ends, and trim.
- Legs—lightly stuff, sew into place, weave in yarn ends, and trim.
- Wings—create and attach wings. Print out flying pig wing pattern—Flying Pig Wing Pattern. Place on white felt and cutout. Using white sewing thread sew to middle of back.
- Tail—create curly tail. Apply Stiffen Stuff to yarn. Tightly wrap yarn around toothpick. Allow to dry. Trim to desired length.
