2-Hole Bead Pattern—Free
This post features a 2-hole bead pattern for a pendant. In the previous post, I shared with you a 2-hole bead pattern for a ring. Just like the ring, it features the two-hole candy bead and the 3-hole EMMA bead. For the ring pattern Click Here.
Materials
- 4 3mm X 6mm EMMA 3-hole Beads Cream Airy Pearl (A)
- 2 8mm Preciosa Candy™ 2-hole Cabochon Cobalt (B)
- 13 8/0 Czech Seed Beads 24K Gold Plated (C)
- 1 5mm Czech Fire Polished Beads Champagne (D)
- 2g 11/0 Czech Seed Beads 24K Gold Plated (E)
- Beadalon® WildFire™ beading thread diameter 00.20mm (.008”)–Frost
- Big Eye Needle
- Scissors

Follow steps one through six of the ring. Click here to go to that post.
Frame the first candy bead as follows. Weave thread around so that it exiting a candy bead. Pick up 5E. Pass the needle through the next hole. Pick up 5E. Pass the needle through the next hole and the first 5E picked up.
Create bail foundation. Pick up 6E. Pass through all the E beads added in the previous step and the first 3E added in this step.
Bail is worked in the herringbone stitch. Pick up 2E. Pass down through the E below and up through the next E and the first E picked up in this step. Continue working in the herringbone stitch until you have a total of 20 stitches.
Embellish Frame of top Candy Bead
Thread should be exiting from the bottom of the first herringbone stitch. Work the top frame in the square stitch. Pick up 1C and 1E. Pass the needle through the E below and the e just added. Pick up 1E. Pass through the E below and the one added—Repeat with the remaining E beads that frame the candy bead. Repeat on the opposite side.
Pick up 3E. Pass through the next C. Repeat on the opposite side.
Frame second candy bead
Pass the needle through the next C and the next A. Pick up 5A. Pass through the next hole. Pick up 5A. Pass through the candy bead and the first 5A added in this step.
Complete the frame. Pick up 1E, 1C, and 1 E. Pass through the candy. Reinforce the beads framing the second candy bead by passing through them until secure.
Complete the bail. (If needed add more thread.) Weave thread so that it is exiting the end of the herringbone strip. Pass needle through the beads that make up the first stitch. Following the thread path of the herringbone stitch. Reinforce bail by repeating thread path. Weave in thread ends and trim.
