Crochet Amigurumi Elephant—Nyla the Indian Elephant

I developed this crochet amigurumi elephant pattern following the steps outlined in my series How to Become a Published Designer.

Design Process

First, I looked at the editorial calendar. The editors sought embellished crochet projects. I knew I would crochet an animal.

Second, I determined that I would adorn an elephant.

Third, I researched elephants in Indian. I discovered the Indian Elephant Festival. It takes place in March.
