With this Faux Carved Jade project, you will learn how to create faux jade and the look of carved beads as well as acquire some experience with wire work. This necklace was inspired by my grandmother’s carved jade lamp. Jade comes in six natural colors. Green is the most common and expensive. The color mixing ratio was developed to match the lamp. However, feel free to experiment. As an additional bonus, this article includes a real life application of algebra.
