Today’s second post shows how a card or invitation could be modified to give it a bit more pop. As you can see from the picture, making minor changes can make a big impact.

In the second version, the black mat panel is a little bit smaller than it is the first version and is layered over an orange panel. Below are the additional materials and steps required to make this version.

Materials

3 ¾”X 5” — Orange Cardstock
3 ½” X 4 ¾”—Black Mat Cardstock
Glitter by Clearsnap Sweet Orange
Aleene’s® Paper Glaze
Gelly Roll® Stardust® Golden- star pen

Instructions

1. Cut 3 ½” X 4 ¾” panel from the mat black cardstock and 3 ¾”X 5” panel from the orange cardstock.
2. Use the Gelly Roll pen to color in the eyes of the spider and add a small drop of Aleene’s Paper Glaze over the eyes to create the effect of google eyes.
3. Apply the Paper Glaze in the areas covered with glitter and then apply glitter
4. Sprinkle on glitter and remove excess.
