Easy Solution to Amigurumi Hands/Paws
If you are like me, then you might find crocheting amigurumi hands/paws challenging. In general, if the first round starts with 3 sc from the second ch from the hook, then I find it a bit challenging. I had a eureka moment while creating this crochet rabbit. The easy solution to crocheting the rabbit’s front paw (hand) was using the crochet bobble stitch. If you aren’t familiar with the stitch, then please click here to go to the crochet bobble stitch tutorial.

Assemble
Tip (s):
The 90% rule—is what I call my approach to assembling a crochet animal. I attach each part 90% until all the pieces are attached. Then I look at the project from different angles and distance to determine if I am still happy with the placement of the parts. Following the 90% rule means it easy to make adjustments without harming your work.
Safety Pins—work well to help determine the placement of smaller parts like ears.
Wooden Skewers or Toothpicks—make it easier to identify the best placement of larger parts like legs. I use the wooden skewers to identify where to place the legs so the animal stays upright.
- Ears—sew to top of head. They could go straight up like the white rabbit or down like the brown rabbit.
- Head and body—sew to attach head to body.
- Legs—sew into desired position. Sew to the bottom of the body for a standing bunny or to the front of the body for a seated bunny.
- Arms—sew into place.
- Tail-attach yarn and MB into the back. Ch 1, fasten off, and leave a tail for sewing. Sew to secure placement. Weave in and trim yarn ends.
- Review placement. Modify as needed. Finish attachment by weaving in ends and trimming.
- Embellish feet and ears with felt. Cut shapes that will fit the part. Glue into place.
- If you purchased embellishments , such as ribbons, then add them.
