The Origin of the Bridal Bouquet & DIY Wedding Card Inspiration
Bridal Bouquet History—have you ever wondered why brides carry bouquets?
Wedding are about traditions. If you have ever been part of the bridal party, then you might have wondered where the various traditions go their start. I decided to share the explanation I was told about the wedding bouquet. That the carrying of one was out necessity. People took baths infrequently back in the 1600’s and for long time afterwards—once a year. Their yearly baths were in May and they would generally get married in June. To be safe, brides carried bouquets to mask the smell of body odor.
