This post provides information on the two new products I tried this year that could be the quick holiday card solution you are seeking. The products are Smooch Spritz™ and Aleene’s® Acid Free Tacky Glue™ Glue Stick.
Smooch Spritz™
Smooch Spritz™ is a pearlized accent spray by Clearsnap. It can be used on a variety of surfaces such as paper, chipboard, wood and more. They come in glass spray bottle. You can control how much is applied. Smooch comes in a variety of attractive colors. Plus, the colors stay true. Take a look at the photo on the right. The colors in bottles accurately represents what appears on the paper. Additionally, the color does not change as the product dries on the surface. The three colors shown in the photo are cosmic pink, sun kissed and carrot cake.
Aleene’s® Acid Free Tacky Glue™ Glue Stick
For those perfectionists out there, and you know who you are, Aleene’s® Acid Free Tacky Glue™ Glue Stick helps you to maintain those standards. Not only is this product stronger than its competitors, but also provides a bit of wiggle room when assembling a card. Craft Designer tried it on a card that included a ribbon and it held the item in place. If you find that the item you just glued to the card isn’t perfectly centered, you can adjust it without damaging the card.
Now for the Quick and Easy Holiday Card Idea. Using clear embossing powder, emboss a holiday themed stamped image, such as a tree onto glossy white cardstock. Then spray two different greens of Smooch Spritz™ over the image. Wipe away color from the image. Use a glue pad to stamp snowflake images and sprinkle with glitter. Use Aleene’s® Acid Free Tacky Glue™ Glue Stick to attach decorative panel to card base.
